The Post-Tensioning Institute provides certifications, most of which are required per code, unless specified otherwise by the Engineer in charge of the project’s design.
This new video created by PTI explores those codes requirements and the various certifications currently available.
The certifications are two or three days of classroom teaching, depending on the certification type, with closed-book exam at the end. Some certifications may include a “field demo” exercise.
They are designed to provide the knowledge required to properly install and inspect PT projects, following the most recent ACI, PTI, and industry standards publications.
Instructors are all certified in the classes that they teach, selected, trained, and vested by PTI.
